The Pink Ribbon Foundation

The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, have been affected by breast cancer, or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer and its early detection and treatment. Since 2015 we make a donation to Pink Ribbon Foundation with every pattern sold.

BBC Children in Need

BBC Children in Need Day, or Pudsey Day, takes place on the third Friday in November. Individuals, schools, sports teams and businesses all do their bit to help Pudsey and BBC Children in Need raise money so that children and young people can be their best. We’ve been involved since 2006 and have several Pudsey Bear and Blush pattern available and the entire proceeds of each sale of these patterns goes to BBC Children in Need.

Knitted Knockers UK

Knitted Knockers UK is a charity that provides knitted and crocheted breast prostheses for women in the UK who have undergone a mastectomy or lumpectomy. Our Cherished and Cottonsoft ranges are perfect for knitting or crocheting Knitted Knockers. Since 2019 a donation is made to Knitted Knockers UK for every ball of Cottonsoft DK sold.

The Loose Ends Project

Loose Ends aims to ease grief, create community, and inspire generosity by matching volunteer handwork finishers with projects people have left undone due to death or disability. Since 2024 a donation is made to The Loose Ends Project for every ball of Cottagespun Chunky sold.

Awards

The new Craftworld Yarn Industry Awards were started in 2023 by Practical Publishing and have quickly caught on as a fan favourite. This recognition comes directly from the votes of Crochet Now, Knit Now, and www.Craftworld.com customers. We have been nominated and highly commended in categories such as Favourite Yarn Brand, and Best Yarn for Babies, and Best Pattern House Design

Hosted by Aceville Publishing, the British Knitting & Crochet Awards were the most well known in the industry from 2014 until 2022. The votes came from readers of Let’s Knit Magazine and www.LetsKnitTogether.com. King Cole regularly placed in the top three under categories such as Best Value Yarn Brand, Favourite Pattern House, Best Sock Yarn Brand, Best Baby Yarn Brand, Best Brand for British Yarn, Best Yarn for Crochet, and Best Yarn for Toys.
